Start of Class
Be in your seat and have all your materials ready for class when the bell rings. If there is a daily warm up on the board, begin it.
Seating
A seating chart will be given for all classes. Student are to start the class in their assigned seat. Most of the time after attendance and directions are given, students maybe moving to a different area to complete their work as directed by the teacher

The daily schedule and important dates will be posted.
Substitutes Teachers
Anyone who is disrespectful or takes advantage of a substitute teacher will face school discipline.
Getting work for an absence
There are baskets on the back counter for each hour where information on the assignments can be found. If you have any questions, see the teacher at an appropriate time, or look on the web page.
Assessments ( grades)
Assessments make up 60% of the grade and will be given approximately one to three weeks. They will come in the form of tests, quizzes, projects, and papers. If you are absent on the day of an assessment, it must be made up outside of classroom time and before the last week of the marking period. All papers can be revised, but revisions must be completed by the last week of the marking period. It is the student’s responsibility to make the arrangements with the teacher.

Daily work
Daily assignments will be in graded one of three ways
A. One or zero points means the assignments was graded on whether the student did or did not do the assignment .
B. A larger assignment will be graded by the percentage scale.
C. Most assignment will be graded on a 4 point scale.
4- very good understand concept,
3 good understand most of the concept
2 beginning to understand concept
1 does not understand concept
0 did not do assignment
Commitment Grade
Part of the grade will be a daily commitment grade. Students can earn up to three points a day based on how they show their commitment to school. Things like being on time, being respectful, participating in class show a student is commitment to their education. The commitment grade will be recorded in the grade book either weekly or bi- weekly
Code for zero points
A- absent
S - sleeping
N - not working on assignment
D - disruptive behavior
D/N - disruptive behavior and not working on assignment.
K - kicked out of class
I- In-house
Su -suspended from school
Assignment Make-Up
A) For absences, the school wide policy will be followed
B) Students can make up missing and late work until five days before the end of the marking period. There will be time to make up missing work during Academic Advisory Time and once in a while during class time . Student that have all their assignments completed can use our Mult. Sensory room
Re-Test
Students have the opportunity to re-take a test, if they scored below 80%. All re-takes must be taken during seminar or before or after school. No re-takes will be given the last week of a marking period.
Computer Access
Students will be using the computers and Internet. Students must have all necessary forms in the office and know their password by September 6th. Headphones are also required. School computer are to be used for academic purposes only. Students are not to be checking email, facebook, or any other social media sites during school time. Student are not be be on Craig's list, youtube, playing games,or any internet site if it is not related to a school assignment, unless the teacher has given permission.
Table
The table is for group work, getting assistance from the teacher, or for working with the teacher.
Windows
Students are not to be opening or closing the windows. Student are also not to be leaning or hanging out of the windows.
Closet and Cabinets
Students are not to open the closet or cabinets without the teacher’s permission.
Academic Advisory Time
Academic Advisory time is right after 2nd hour from 9:40-10:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays Academic Advisory is from 9:30-10:15. This is the perfect time to get extra help, do homework, or make up a missing test. This is not a social time, and students will not be permitted to leave the room without a pass, unless they are attending a club meeting. iPods and cell phones are not be used without permission. Students may use the computer for academic use only (E2020, work key training, or other classes) Students are not to use the computer for personal use such as music, Facebook, games, etc. If students are not in my second hour, they may only come to room B111 for academic purposes only.

The best way to contact me is to send an email. I will do my best to answer within the end of the day. My prep time is between 8:35-10:00. to keep track of quiz dates, projects, and what is happening in the classroom, check my webpage [email protected]
Access to Additional Support
I am available during academic advisory if a student requires additional support in a class. Students will need to ask for a pass prior to the time they want my assistance. Students can also made an appointment for me either before or after school. If a students requires assistance in a regular education class that I am not teaming in, they should speak with the special education staff member supporting that class or the content teacher of that class. Student can also stay after school and attend support classes in core academic areas.
