Course Description
This course is designed to improve the students' ability to use basic math skills for the world of work and independent living. It will use real life application problems, plus review and reteach basic skills. The second semester will "loop" the same skills as the first semester but build upon the what has been learned. The general education curriculum and standards will be followed, as well as the IEP goals of each student. Student will complete an hour a week on the math section of the Khan Academy which is an online program. Other printed materials and hands-on activities will be used as seen appropriate by the instructor.
