Course Description
This course is designed to improve the students' ability to use basic math skills for the world of work and independent living. It will use real life application problems, plus review and reteach basic skills. The general education curriculum and standards will be followed, as well as the IEP goals of each student. Students will need a basic calculator, folder, and a pencil every day in class. Students will not be allowed to use their cell phones as calculators. Other printed materials and hands-on activities will be used as seen appropriate by the instructor.
